Champion Superbike Racer to Attend Jersey International Motoring Festival
The 2025 Jersey International Motoring Festival will welcome 2018 British Superbike Champion and World Superbike race winner Leon Haslam to the island for a showcase of motorcycle racing history.
Haslam will be riding one of the ‘Airwaves’ Ducati 999R superbikes that he raced during his 2006 and 2007 British Superbike Championship campaigns, securing runner-up and third-place finishes, respectively.
As JIMF marks its 25th year, the event will feature an enhanced display of legendary superbikes, with Haslam joined by renowned figures from the racing world.
Among them are John and Rick Hackett of JHP Racing, whose expertise has supported numerous British and World Superbike teams and riders. The Hacketts will be bringing a stunning collection of historically significant motorcycles, including:
A 1994 Ducati 916 Strada, one of the most iconic bikes in Ducati’s history.
A 1992/93 Ducati 888 Corse, a championship-winning machine from the golden era of Superbike racing.
A Seeley Matchless G50, boasting a remarkable racing pedigree, including a 2nd-place finish in the 1970 German Grand Prix
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to see and hear these bikes alongside an impressive range of rare and local Ducati Superbikes plus many more machines both in action and up close. The bikes will take part in thrilling demonstration runs on the Thursday and Friday evenings alongside a weekend static display of over 20 bikes where enthusiasts can admire machines up close and meet with Leon, John and Rick in person.
